Reporting to the Controller, the role will be a key leadership position in the Finance organization, interacting and coordinating with colleagues in Finance & Strategy, Tax, Corporate Development and various other departments across the Company to ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate financial results.It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. Please connect with your recruiter for more information regarding our in-office philosophy and expectations.What youll doProvide leadership, support and professional development opportunities to the growing technical and reporting accounting teamManage the reporting and filing process for SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K, and other external reporting requirementsLead the technical accounting team in researching, communicating and resolving complex accounting matters. Provide technical accounting guidance to cross functional partners across finance and the companyLead all policy initiatives, including the implementation of new accounting standards. Ensure internal Robinhood accounting policies are maintained and up to date.Continuously monitor, document and communicate new accounting standards to the entire organization and determine their impact on the companyLead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives, including product launches, new revenue models, or structural reorganizations, ensuring accounting impacts are proactively addressed.Participate in audit committee meetings, including the presentation of required communicationsOrganize and lead quarterly disclosure committee meetingsManage the relationship with external auditors. Act as the key point of contact between the auditors and internal finance teams.Support due diligence and the integration of M&A deals.
