Located across 4 locations over Melbourne, L Arthur Transport Services has a strong industry presence with over 120 years of experience in wharf cartage, container transportation, and OOG heavy haulage. We are also an AA Rural Tailgate and Underbond Customs licensed Bio-Security facility.Due to internal promotion, we have a rare opportunity for an administration assistant with Transport & Biosecurity experience to join our Biosecurity / Tailgate Department at our Footscray Road site. This role is onsite only with no remote working options available.We are seeking a reliable individual with AQIS experience or awareness, strong communication skills, and invoicing experience (highly regarded) to provide excellent service to our internal and external clients.The Biosecurity Administrator is a key member of our Biosecurity Administration team, responsible for liaising with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Customs and Biosecurity regulations, and resolving AQIS customer queries promptly.Tasks & Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with Australian Customs and Biosecurity regulations.Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor.Collaborate with the Transport operations team.Liaise with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.Perform administration tasks such as job entry, workflow updates, and invoicing accurately and promptly.Manage the Biosecurity team inbox, ensuring timely email responses.Communicate with clients & brokers according to requirements.Investigate and resolve warehousing rate issues or disputes prior to invoicing.Qualifications & Skills:Full working rights for a full-time role (40 hours/week, long-term employment).Prior high-level administration experience, system-savvy, and IT adaptable.Understanding of Australian Customs and Biosecurity regulations (MANDATORY).High attention to detail for accurate data entry.Experience in worksheet invoicing (highly regarded).Strong problem-solving skills for customer inquiries and issue resolution.Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Previous experience in Transport & Logistics.Working Arrangements:Onsite location at 660 Footscray Road, West Melbourne.Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.Office-based only (Wfh or Hybrid not available).We are interviewing now.
