We specialize in environmental analysis, including soil, water, air, emissions, and effluent testing.Job DescriptionFull-time position based in Girraween, NSW.This role requires shift work from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.An additional 1.5% superannuation paid on top of the standard rate.The Lab Technician will report to the Section Supervisor.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Sample preparation for soils and water following accredited methods.Data entry into spreadsheets.Prioritizing urgent samples with shorter turnaround times.Replenishing consumables from warehouse supplies.Calibrating equipment such as auto-pipettes and balances as per schedule.Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and organizing samples for storage.Performing additional duties as assigned by the Section Supervisor.Performing duties professionally and safely.QualificationsNo science degree required, but a good understanding of chemistry and mathematics (Year 11 in Australia, Year 12 in New Zealand) is necessary.Experience with Microsoft applications is beneficial.A desire to learn and improve.A hands-on, hardworking attitude with common sense.Additional InformationWe are reviewing applications as they arrive.
