The Senior Planning Engineer (Deep Water and Subsea Umbilical, Riser, and Flowlines (SURF)) plays a pivotal role in the project management team, focusing on the development and maintenance of project plans and schedules. This position exists to contribute to the efficient execution of projects by providing expert guidance on planning and scheduling activities.About the RoleThe Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for the development and management of project schedules, ensuring that all planning data is collected and stored in the Sapura database upon close out.ResponsibilitiesDevelop project schedule & key milestones, incorporating inputs from various stakeholders & bid document.Collaborate with project teams to gather and analyze project requirements.Establish project setup related to project planning i.e. WBS, SAP, P6, productivity, progress measurement.Develop and manage deliverable as per required in project requirement i.e. planning package.Manage project schedule updates & lookahead with accuracy and meeting contract & project team requirement.Analyze project schedule, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.Analyze and identify areas of optimization.Assess and notify changes and potential impact to overall schedule.Prepare recovery plan.Perform schedule risk analysis as required.Involve in project risk & opportunity review.Involve in Variation Order discussion related to planning and scheduling.Review key subcontractors / vendors schedule and progress.
