The TSANZ is the only Peak Body in both Australia and New Zealand that represents all health professionals working in all fields of respiratory health.The TSANZ is a leading advocate and provider of evidence-based policy for the prevention and management of respiratory conditions in Australia and New Zealand, undertakes professional education and training, and is responsible for significant research administration.THE ROLEThe Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand (TSANZ) is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive research and policy manager to administer a newly formed research consortium which will be focused on optimising the Australian Lung Nodule Management Protocol to support the National Lung Cancer Screening Program. This role will also manage the TSANZ Clinical Quality Registries which are currently focused on severe asthma. The role will be embedded in the research and public affairs team which support a range of research support, partners, policy development and public affairs functions. The role will require you to work collaboratively with TSANZ members, partners, sub-contractors and other stakeholders to oversee and deliver project deliverables on time and within budget. The duties will include proactive external stakeholder engagement and delivery of timely and efficient communications and outputs.TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVEWell-developed organisational, planning, and multi-tasking skills along with the ability to coordinate competing priorities.Experience in research and project managementHigh-level written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to successfully administer projects and deliver successful and timely outcomes. Along with the ability to provide written reports.Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively to achieve joint objectives ensuring that sub-contractors meet deadlines.Effectively apply technology to maximise efficiencies.
