Full time ongoing teaching position, with a 4-year tenured opportunityOutstanding school leadership opportunityJoin a high performing school with excellent programmes and facilitiesApplications are invited for outstanding educators and leaders for a full-time ongoing primary teaching position with a 4-year tenure as Director of Curriculum (Junior Schools), working across the Moonee Ponds and Essendon campuses, commencing January 2026.This is a newly created position and in addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with classroom teachers to promote, develop, and embed effective, research-based teaching strategies across both campuses.You will develop outstanding pedagogy to expand the professional knowledge and skills of our Junior School teachers, and lead the process of developing, reviewing, and evaluating all programs and establish and maintain procedures for collecting data and preparing documentation for assessment.To Be Successful In This Role, You Should HavePossess extensive knowledge of evidence-based curriculum and pedagogical practice.Have experience in curriculum planning and evaluation at the Junior School level.Demonstrate skills in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on large-scale data in schools.Contribute to the development of professional practice of classroom teachers and leadership.Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.Show high-level organizational and planning skills.Uphold a commitment to child safety and student wellbeing.Support the values and policies of the school.The SchoolPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School has over 3000 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East.
