Chief Operating & Financial Officer (COFO) Sydney-based | $180K base + super + performance bonusMy client is a high-growth, no-BS performance agency partnering with powerhouse brands like DoorDash, Geedup, Love To Dream, and Swyftx and theyre looking for a rare breed: a commercially sharp finance and operations leader whos navigated the fast-paced world of agency life and can turn creative energy into commercial success.As their COFO, you will take full ownership of the financial, legal, people, and operational pillars that drive this agency forward. Youll work directly with the Founder and Board to shape strategy and make mission-critical decisions all with the autonomy and authority to drive real impact.Your Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial LeadershipOwn end-to-end financial operations: forecasting, budgeting, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowMaintain Xero at an audit-ready level with precision and timelinessOversee tax prep and compliance in partnership with external accountantsDrive revenue growth and identify cost-saving efficiencies to improve marginsAnalyse profitability across clients, service lines, and departments to inform strategy Operational & Strategic LeadershipDevelop and optimise SOPs across all teams to reduce key-person risk and scale efficientlyRun and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics to the boardDesign and execute long-term growth strategies alongside the leadership team People & CultureManage payroll, HR compliance, performance reviews, and people processesServe as the escalation point for team and client issuesLead the agencys senior team (Growth, Creative Strategy, Performance, Creative Director) Legal & Risk ManagementReview all client and contractor agreementsResolve disputes, legal escalations, and risk mitigation mattersMaintain compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations with support from legal and accounting partners Your Experience & Skills5+ years in a senior finance/operations role within a digital marketing, creative, or performance agencyRecent experience as a COO, CFO, or equivalent in a fast-growth environmentAdvanced Xero expertise with CPA/CA qualificationDegree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessSydney-based, with capacity to attend regular in-person meetings Why Join?$180K base + super + performance bonus tied to agency profitability and KPIsBe part of a lean, elite team with a no-bullshit culture and bold growth ambitionsDirect access to the Founder and Board full autonomy to shape the futureSupport from a full-time Admin Manager and trusted third-party legal/accounting partnersPlease send a detailed CV todylan@talentdrecruitment.com.auif you feel this is a role that is suited to you!Join a growing digital marketing agency focussing on creative & performance in this leadership role! #J-18808-Ljbffr
