With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hours drive from the CBD, Melbournes North is fastbecoming the place to be!Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experiencedUrology Fellow to join the team at Northern Health for the 2025 and 2026 clinical year, commencing in August 2025.Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbournes rapidly growing outer north.Services are provided through our five main campuses:Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.About the Role:This role is responsible for the provision of appropriate care to inpatients and public outpatients of the Urology team at all Northern Health sites, provision of a consultative service for patients of other Units or Departments.Ensuring supervision of junior medical staff and urology nurse consultant and to provide support for the senior medical staff in the care of the Unit / Departments patients. On call and management of emergency department admissions Share the unit on call with the unit registrars.Operating - Depending on the case complexity fellow will be asked to perform procedures under direct or over-sight supervision.Research/audit/teaching This is an integral part on Fellows training and will be expected to take part actively. Urology unit has a dedicated research team to support trainees.To be successful in this role you will have:Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or ability to apply.Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalentAustralian Citizen or VISA with Full Working Rights (or ability to apply)Next StepsIf this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
