The Company is an Australian software business with proprietary AI based SaaS solutions for the global banking and retail industries. We are looking for a highly motivated, hands on and experienced Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary. We are a growing global business so this is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of this ASX-listed entity.Location: Sydney but may need to occasionally be prepared to travelReporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and ultimately to the Board.Key Responsibilities:As Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company as well as corporate governance and compliance matters.Financial Strategy & Planning: Short and long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and statutory requirements. Provide insightful financial analysis, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and potential risks and opportunities.Capital Management: Manage the company''s cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements. Explore and evaluate potential funding opportunities, including debt and equity financing.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations in Australia. Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and manage relationships with tax advisors.Investor Relations Support: Assist the CEO in communicating the company''s financial performance and outlook to investors and analysts. Prepare financial information for investor presentations and reports.Team Leadership: Build and manage a small finance team as the company grows. Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the finance function.Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders on strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and project management support for business development activities.Audit Management: Manage the relationship with external auditors and oversee the annual audit processASX Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Ensure timely and accurate lodgement of all required forms and submissions in accordance with ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Act.Board Support: Organise and attend Board meetings, prepare agendas, distribute board papers, and maintain accurate minutes of meetings.Shareholder Management: Manage the share register, communicate with shareholders, and organise shareholder meetings (AGM, EGMs).Legal Coordination: Liaise with external legal counsel on various corporate matters, including capital raisings, contracts, and compliance issues. Coordinate the provision of necessary legal documentation and support.Statutory Registers: Maintain and update all statutory registers as required by the Corporations Act.Stakeholder Communication: Manage communication with other key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and advisors.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CA qualification is essential.Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a publicly listed company.Demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and capital management.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professional judgment.Personal Attributes:Highly motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic and evolving business environment.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
