About the roleBrickworks QLD are seeking an experienced and confident Machine Operator / Forklift Operator to join our team at Austral Masonry Caloundra.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for safely and efficiently setting up and operating mechanical equipment involved in the manufacture of concrete masonry products. You will also monitor product quality and utilise a forklift to package and store the products in dedicated bays.Shifts Pattern: Monday to Friday 5:30am 2:30pm (must be willing to stay back when required)Duties include but are not limited to: Set up, operate, and maintain clean mechanical equipment in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Ensure the product meets the customer expectation and stated product specifications. Sets controls, fixes attachments and materials to prepare for operation. Performs basic problem solving and diagnosis of machine issues and escalates non-routine issues to maintenance team for resolution. Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHS policies and procedures. Assist and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives. Operate forklift to move pallets and product as required. Regular housekeeping of the factory and hand-stacking blocks as required.Success Requirements Forklift Licence. Experience in operating manufacturing machines in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Attention to detail to ensure the correct product specifications are achieved. Strong problem solving and fault-finding skills to identify machine issues/breakdowns. Sound time management skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Why join us?
