Department of HealthHospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals NthLaunceston General HospitalApplications must be submitted by Sunday 06 July, 2025 11:55 PMSunday 6 July, 2025 11:55 PM AESTAward/Classification:Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Operational Health Officer, Level 1$57,130 to $62,486 pro rata, per annumEmployment type:Part TimeRegion:NorthLocation:LGH Charles Street, LauncestonWe are seeking a Hospital Aide to assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment and adequate stock supply (excluding drugs) to enable clinical staff to deliver a high standard of care to patients in the maternity ward/unit.The Role:Under the general supervision of the Maternity Unit Manager, the CMC - Maternity Unit, the Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (ANUM), or other Department Manager, Hospital Aides assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment and adequate stock supply (excluding drugs) to enable clinical staff to deliver a high standard of care to patients in the ward/unit.It is expected the role will have direct contact with blood or body substances or infectious material, which needs to be considered in all tasks undertaken.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why Tasmania:The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services.
