Chisholms culture of Belonging & Inclusion strives to promote a self-regulating culture that enhances the experiences of our employees, students and communities.About The RoleThe Chef Hospitality (Defence Delivery) is accountable for providing quality and nutritional meals to ADF personnel at Chisholms Frankston campus.The position will focus on planning and preparing a nutritious and balance rotating menu whilst accommodating any specialized dietary requirements, allergies, religious or cultural meal requirements. These meals are required to meet the requirements of the Defence Catering Manual (CATMAN).The incumbent will support the resource officer in ensuring the appropriate allocation of materials and resources to support the hosting of events, drawing upon knowledge and experience gained from the Hospitality industry in terms of its processes and practices.The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Hospitality Business Area and provides support for the delivery of teaching programs and events in the Education and Professional Services Business Area in collaboration with the Defence Delivery Area.Key Responsibilities Include-Planning and preparing a nutritious and balanced rotating menu for all ADF personnel at Chisholm Frankston that would to appeal to a wide range of people.Daily meal service provision is to facilitate any specialised dietary requirements, allergies, religious or cultural meal requirements.Provide a separate plated meal for all approved special meal requirements.Provide meals and snacks that meet or exceed the requirements of the Defence Catering Manual (CATMAN).Daily menus should ensure that food all serials listed in CATMAN are included to provide variety and meet nutritional requirements.Kitchen clean up and dishwashing at the end of each meal service.About YouYou are a highly motivated individual withExperience in a commercial kitchen, preferably with a wide range of cuisinesStrong culinary skillsAbility to work independently during serviceReliability and punctualityStrong communication skillsQualifications Required For The RoleCertificate III in Commercial CookeryFood Safety and Handling CertificationsAbout UsChisholm is one of the largest vocational training providers in the state with a team of over 1,400 dedicated staff supporting 41,000 students who choose to study at Chisholm and training at our modern campuses across Melbournes southeast and online.
