Applications are now open for Zinfras 2026 Apprentice and Trainee Program!Be part of Australias dynamic and evolving energy future and energise your career with hands-on experience, professional development, and nationally recognised qualifications.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Transmission Lineworker to undertake a Certificate III in ESI Transmission Overhead over a four-year program which will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals, while also attending TAFE to complete your certification.The location for this apprenticeships will be based at Rowville/Thomastown however at times during your apprenticeship you will provide support for other teams where travel and living away from is a requirement, in this case a generous Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA) will be provided.During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and will participate in workplace and worksite rotations, experiencing a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities.What Youll Be DoingConstruct, maintain and repair overhead assets to agreed network standardsOperate and use plant, equipment and tools associated with the construction and maintenance of the networkInstallation and maintenance of overhead transmission conductors and cablesInspect overhead structures and electrical apparatusTest and verify transmission overhead installationsGeneral duties such as yard work, ground work at job sites, administration, traffic control (where trained) and warehouse activitiesWhat Were Looking ForWe want team players who are enthusiastic, hands-on, and ready to learn.
