This role is perfect for candidates with a strong background in established seniors living communities who thrive on creating meaningful connections and delivering outstanding results.The companyOur client is a private operator of two retirement living communities located in the stunning surrounds of the Georges River and National Park. The villages offer an extensive range of resident facilities and services and have established a strong brand reputation in their local communities over many years.The RoleThe opportunity is available for an experienced and highly strategic industry professional to lead the management of the organisations two operational villages and support the owners to achieve the next stage of evolution.Reporting to the company directors, the Village Manager is responsible for delivering all aspects of village operational management to establish a high standard of resident service, staff engagement, financial sustainability and best practice systems and regulatory alignment.This role represents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned retirement village manager, affording you the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation in owning and driving the operational strategy, and ultimately realising the full potential of the existing villages as well as the expansion of current service offerings and portfolio growth.Key role responsibilities include the following:Manage a wide range of resident services/activities and champion a village environment of happy, active and engaged residentsFacilitate support and care services, including access to government funded services, and support residents in their quest to maintain independence to age-in-place with dignity and respectEnsure compliance with the Retirement Villages Act 1999 (NSW) and other relevant regulations and codes of conductDevelop effective relations and collaboration with the residents and the Residents CommitteeManage the financial performance of the village including operating budgets, capital works and reportingSupport the Sales Manager with enquiries, village tours, and assist prospective residents and their families in understanding the villages offeringsManage maintenance, capital works and the asset register to maintain the villages in optimum conditionRecruit, train, and supervise on-site staff and external contractors and create a high performance and high service work cultureKey personal requirements include the following:Minimum 5 years experience as a Retirement Village Manager with a proven track record ideally with multi-site experienceExperience in managing and motivating a large numbers of direct reportsExcellent interpersonal skills, including communication, empathy, negotiationCreative problem solver, open and willing to try new ideasSound general business knowledge, and tertiary qualifications in a related field eg hospitality, nursing, marketing or similarParticipation in retirement living sales/re-sales preferredA thorough understanding of the Retirement Villages Act (NSW)Highly self-motivated and proactive with attention to detail and presentation standardsComputer proficiency especially with Microsoft Word and ExcelThe BenefitsThis is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive company in a very exciting phase of its evolution.A highly competitive remuneration package is on offer inclusive of an attractive base salary and performance incentives.ApplicationApplications will be accepted only through LinkedInand should include an overview of relevant experience, qualifications and the reasons that would make you suitable for consideration for this role.
