Advisor/ Senior Advisor Environment Approvals & CompliancePerformance, Retention and Profit Share BonusesMonday to Friday - Perth Airport locationPerformance, Retention and Profit Share BonusesCompany contribution towards private health insuranceEnsure the delivery of environmental approvals and complianceAbout the RoleRoy Hill is seeking an experienced Advisor or Senior Advisor - Environment Approvals & Compliance to join our dynamic team in Perth.Reporting to the Superintendent Environment Approvals, Biodiversity & Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in securing and maintaining environmental approvals and ensuring compliance for Roy Hill''s operations. A key focus of this role is approvals, compliance, and auditing under the EPBC Act and Environmental Protection Act 1986. Experience with geospatial information software (such as ARCPro or QGIS) and spatial data management will be highly regarded.If you are you passionate about environmental management and ready to make a real impact in the resources sector, then this is an exciting opportunity for you.Duties:Collaborate within a multidisciplinary and cohesive team to successfully deliver all required environmental approvals to support our businessMaintain current knowledge of operational plans sufficient to identify and lead (Senior level) the process of gaining environmental approvals for sites in advance of the required timeframesManage approval plans and project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are kept well-informed of progressPrepare and submit regulatory documentation to relevant authoritiesLiaise with internal and external stakeholders throughout the approvals processProvide support and timely advice to site personnel regarding relevant environmental legislation, permitting requirements and project managementSkills and experience:Bachelor''s degree in Environmental Science or similar qualification in Environmental ManagementSignificant experience in environmental approvals, gained within a relevant consultancy and/or industry setting, including hands-on involvement in preparing a range of State and Commonwealth approvalsStrong working knowledge of Western Australian environmental legislation and frameworks, particularly the Environmental Protection Act (Part IV and Part V), Mining Act, and EPBC ActExcellent report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and conciselyDemonstrated experience in conducting environmental audits; formal audit qualifications will be highly regardedProficiency in GIS for data management and map productionAbility to read and interpret legislation, approval conditions, and regulatory requirementsPerth ROC FacilitiesFree on-site parking at remote operational centre (ROC)Modern spacious office with break-out facilitiesIn-house caf providing variety of hot & cold food options and barista coffeeFlexi Leave available to all Perth based office staffFlexible working hours outside of core business hoursActive social club with community events and activities for employeesLifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your familyAbout the CompanyRoy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia''s Pilbara region.We are a company where people matter.
