The POWH is a specialist centre for the care of patients with oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic, liver and cholangio carcinomas.As a senior dietitian in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics you will be actively involved in quality improvement, service review, and service development activities. All senior staff are involved in clinical supervision of junior staff and students.Further, as a department senior, this position will work with the Head and Deputy Head of Department, together with the other Level 4 Clinical Seniors, to provide high level guidance, leadership and management of aspects of the Department.Where you''ll be workingThe team comprises nineteen dedicated dietitians ranging from new graduate to experienced clinical specialists. As a team we are committed to ensure that the nutrition care of patients and clients are at the forefront of service delivery.The Prince of Wales Hospital is a quaternary referral and teaching hospital - a great place to develop your career. It is located in Randwick, in Sydneys eastern suburbs. The hospital is undergoing redevelopment and has opened a new acute services building.Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
