The team collaborates with onsite Asset Engineers, maintenance teams and Operators, providing analytical support to enhance plant performance. They bring extensive experience in the energy industry, specifically across thermal, gas, and renewable energy generation assets. As leaders in their field, they offer data-driven performance insights to support assets with plant and process optimization, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a great role for a person who is experienced in plant operations and control.What you''ll be doing:Leading a team of highly qualified energy industry engineersDrive the Operations Diagnostics & Analytics team to support sites with plant and process optimisationIdentify opportunities for data-driven insights through strong stakeholder relationships with operational sites.Acting as the functional leader of a team of engineers that develop sophisticated models and applications to support advanced analytics engineering and converting insights to drive performance value.Lead a team of technical specialists to develop strategies that utlise AI, ML and LLM applications to improving maintenance strategies and improved operations performanceLeading and developing the team with your strong leadership in the energy industry.What you''ll bring:Tertiary qualifications in engineering or equivalentDemonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and drive a positive culture through active consultation and implementing change.Significant experience in an operations environment (e.g. power generation, oil & gas or mining).Experience in operations leadership and an understanding of the energy industryPlease submit your application 8 July.Inclusion at AGLAt AGL, we value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, culturally diverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
