This role provides support across all Woolworths & Endeavour business units around the Metropolitan Sydney area.This exciting role has become available and this position involves visiting various Woolworths, Woolworths Metro, Big W, Dan Murphys & BWS sites. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct stock counts at each location. This process entails physically counting each item and subsequently entering the data into a handheld scanning device. While the workday generally passes quickly, please be aware that you will be on your feet for most of the day.This casual role typically involves work commencing at 6:00 AM from Monday to Thursday with the occasional Fridays. The approximate weekly hours of 23 hours per week. The team work approximately 46 weeks per year with no stocktakes in the lead up to Christmas and the week either side of Easter. During these periods, there may be opportunities to source work within supermarkets. The role offers an attractive remuneration package that includes a highly competitive rate of pay, kilometre and travel time allowances, superannuation and staff discount card. The finishing time for the inventory count is flexible and will depend on the stores size. The team is required to stay until the count is completed, with a general finish time is between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM.Our dedicated team of trainers provides comprehensive on-the-job training to successful candidates.As part of the Stocktake Assistants role, you will have the opportunity to travel throughout the Western NSW and ACT region visiting our regional centres. This will involve being away from home for approximately 3 nights per month. During this time, you will enjoy comfortable twin share accommodation with breakfasts and dinners supplied, as well as coach driven transport a supportive team environment. Please note that you must also possess a vehicle and current licence to transport yourself within the Metropolitan Sydney Region area, which ranges anywhere from Penrith to Manly.Key Responsibilities IncludeAccurate counting of stock in accordance with company specified guidelines, time frames and targets.Working cooperatively in an engaging and productive team environment.Abiding by company policies and procedures in relation to Occupational Health and Safety(OH&S) and Food Safety to ensure a safe working environment for customers, team members and contractorsTo be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following criteria:Demonstrate competent written and verbal communication skills with a sound mathematical abilityHold a current driver''s licence and have access to your own vehicleMaintain a reliable attendance record and strong work ethicPerform repetitive tasksPortray a positive attitudeAbide by company policies and procedures at all times including the standard of dressBe available to work a flexible casual schedule from Monday to Friday (the majority of shifts would be from 6am starts however some evenings and late nights may be required)Be able to periodically travel on trips away for up to four nights, staying in twin share accommodation at the expense of WoolworthsCommunicate effectively with customers and team membersWork in a fast-paced team environmentRequired to undergo a pre-employment physical checkThis is a fantastic role with great opportunities to advance for the right candidate.
