Mobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport primarily in Victoria and New South Wales. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft. MPC provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital, and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics. RFDS is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our MPC team as Head of Enablement and Compliance. About the Role: The primary purpose of this role is to develop, maintain, and implement training programs for staff that promote high-quality patient care, a safe and high-functioning operating environment, and compliance with industry protocols. This role is a higher duty for a staff member with a substantive role of ATA/Paramedic when not performing training or other project duties. Your key responsibilities will include: Content development and delivery of the Annual Competency training program and assessment of staff compliance with National Standards Content development and delivery of the new staff induction program, including final assessment of staff readiness for active deployment Lead the development and update of a training schedule with a program up to 12 months in advance where possible Collaborate with MPC Management, Clinicians, Clinical Instructors, and Quality Manager to identify staff training needs or areas of risk Develop and deliver tailored training programs for staff needing to address specific skills and training gaps Develop training programs for new equipment and work methods Oversee content development for the ELMO online training platform and maintain up-to-date system content Participate in clinical reviews to identify training gaps and improvements Ensure accurate recording and reporting of staff attendance and training assessments Prepare documents, presentations, and reports for leadership meetings Identify opportunities to improve business and clinical processes, ensuring they are patient-centric, efficient, and effective Promote a customer and patient-centric culture aligned with RFDS values Promote a safe, compliant, and respectful work environment and respond promptly to issues Strive for staff compliance with all clinical and legislative protocols and policies Lead projects to improve business function, safety, quality, and MPC effectiveness Mentor and train staff working as ATAs on the road Assist with interviewing, assessing, and orienting new staff as needed Maintain accurate education records Audit staff, policies, and procedures for compliance with National Standards To be successful in this role, you will need: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and conflicting priorities Open, approachable, and effective communication style Extensive experience in the patient care industry Ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders Capacity to lead a learning environment through formal and informal training Experience in patient transport Meet the requirements and qualifications of an ATA Clinical Instructor qualification (preferred) Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (preferred) Mandatory vaccination policy: Hepatitis B Chicken Pox Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis Tuberculosis Annual Influenza The RFDS Victoria is committed to diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
