CPC hires staff from a diverse range of backgrounds with a variety of knowledge, skills and abilities.You will embrace the chance to learn and grow with CPC with your key duties and tasks:Effectively manage programs for weaner feeding in conjunction with the operations team in regards to mustering programsInduction and exit of all young cattle into and out of the weaner programRecord and maintain all data and traceability associated with receiving, loading and processing of young cattle into and out of the programCoordinate the backgrounding of weaners on and off forage cropsLow stress livestock handling techniques and promote and manage best practice animal welfare for our animals (including monitoring and handling the treatment of sick animals)Mustering on horse back and on a two wheel motorbikeOperation of a tractor and feed wagon to conduct daily feeds from commoditiesCoordinate for the repairs and maintenance of plant, equipment and infrastructureResponsible for a small team and up to ten on occasionWhat you will needA genuine interest in working and living on a remote cattle stationLooking to step up into an energetic and rewarding role - skilled in all tasks reasonably required of a Station Hand Level 4 up to a Head StockpersonComputer knowledge including ability to confidently use Microsoft suite of programs (and willingness to learn company specific data collection programs)Proven skills in cattle handling, processing and musteringHorse riding and handling abilityCurrent and valid drivers licence (manual)Experienced Station Hands who are looking to step up are welcome to apply for this role as training and mentoring will be offered.Whats on offerMoving into the Junior Manager Group and regularly sharing and learning with the other CPC Junior ManagersBeing part of the Newcastle Waters leadership teamContinuous on-the-job trainingSalary paid according to skill levelNutritious, wholesome, and healthy meals and food provided in the station kitchenSingle Accommodation providedFare reimbursement to the station (after probation)Physical DemandsThis is a physically demanding job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments.This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull from 10-20 kilo''s and occasionally more.
