You will supervise a team of Research Engineers and collaborate closely with Research Fellows, students, staff members, community members, clinical populations and occupational groups.As the successful candidate you will:Have proven expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, Prisma ORM) and nonrelational databases (MongoDB, Firebase)Be proficient in complex schema design, indexing strategies, and optimizing query performanceHave demonstrable experience developing robust, scalable APIs using REST, GraphQL, tRPC, pub/sub systems and type-safe APIs leveraging TypeScript, tRPC, SuperJSON and schema-validation libraries (Zod, Arktype)Have designed middleware for authentication, authorization, and security enforcementExperience integrating APIs with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud ecosystems.Experience in open-source dietary assessment tools and health data platformsDemonstrated leadership in planning, priority-setting, resource allocation, and delivering on deadlinesIf you thrive on leading a team in innovative research technology platforms and would like to work at a globally ranked university with purpose-driven impact, wed love to hear from youapply now!About Monash UniversityAt Monash, work feels different.
