We partner with government agencies, municipalities, private sector companies and leading environmental organisations to safely clean-up legacy liabilities for redevelopment, and deliver proven industry expertise on new infrastructure, sustainability and environmental health and safety initiatives around the globe.Bring your creativity, collaborative spirit and extreme attention to detail, and well help you grow, pursue and fulfill what drives you so we can deliver extraordinary solutions for a better tomorrow, together.Our Environmental Team is hiring an Environmental Consultant to be based at our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office depending on where you are currently based.Conduct process safety-related studies including preliminary hazard analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, fault tree and event tree analysis, layer of protection analysis, probabilistic risk assessment, Hazard and operability studies.Conduct Quantitative risk assessment for hazardous installations.Preparing technical proposals related to safety studies.Coordinate with clients and regulators.Guide and share the knowledge with the entry-level safety risk engineers.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.Here''s what you''ll needTo be a successful candidate, you shall possess:Bachelor''s Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Experience in chemical process safety including preliminary hazard analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, fault tree and event tree analysis, layer of protection analysis, probabilistic risk assessment, safety integration level verifications, Hazard and operability studies.Experience in hazard consequence analysis such as deflagration and explosion, explosion overpressure effects, vapor cloud explosions, BLEVEs, flame radiation, and toxic air dispersions.Knowledge in process safety management and risk management regulations.Proficient in modeling skills using TNO Effects, Riskcurves, and/or DNV Phast.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with technical staff.Good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate findings through reports and presentations to our clients or in a public forum ie. government entity.Jacobs.
