Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAbout the roleWe are looking for a permanent part-time Team Leader to lead a team of Disability Support Workers in a Supported Independent Living house in the Blue Mountains, NSW. You need to be highly collaborative and a hands-on leader; you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to people with intellectual disabilities and complex health conditions in a way that enables them to live a good life.What you''ll be doingOverseeing a team of 5-8 Support Workers, including rostering, task delegation, and performance managementCoordinating the delivery of disability support services in line with their individualised support plansProviding on-site supervision and support to the Support Worker team, modelling best practice and leading by exampleMonitoring service quality and identifying opportunities for improvementBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with the people Greystanes supports, their families and other stakeholdersEnsuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and proceduresRostering, scheduling and administrative tasksAbility to be flexible when needed for night shiftsAbility to be a part of a rostered On-Call TeamWhat we''re looking forCertificate III or higher in Disability, Community Services or related field preferred, but not essential2+ years of experience as a Team Leader or in a supervisory role is preferred, but not essentialDemonstrated working knowledge of the NDIS framework, standards and quality indicatorsExperience in developing and implementing plansExcellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skillsA positive, empathetic and collaborative approach to working with people with disability and their familiesPhysical capability to assist with personal care and manual handling tasks, following proper proceduresCurrent driver''s licence (Green Provisional or Full Licence)Senior First Aid certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children''s CheckMust have permanent Australian work rights.What we offerAt Greystanes Disability Services, we are committed to supporting our employees and providing them with a rewarding and fulfilling career.
