Overview:Negotiable Part-time or Full-time, Fixed Term position until 30 January 2026Salary Academic Level C ($141,247 - $162,872 p.a.) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working ArrangementsBased at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the UniversityAbout YouAs the Senior Lecturer, Psychology, you will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School in the Discipline of Psychology. You will make a significant contribution to the delivery of programs at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, and to be actively involved in research, consulting and other professional capabilities, particularly within Research Methods and quantitative data analysis. You will develop, engage in and lead high quality research projects that are aligned with the Universitys research focus areas to achieve success in attracting research funding and to produce high quality outputs. You will have an important research leadership role in embedding their research expertise into the life of the School and will be required to develop high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with local, national and global, internal and external partners. You may have responsibility for program management.To be successful in this position, youll meet the following Key Selection Criteria:Demonstrated ability to coordinate large courses and prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including high quality curriculum and program materials and ability to implement innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement, with expertise in Research Methods and quantitative data analysis.Ability to manage a large program or a number of small programs and support student issues related to effective learning.Emerging nationally recognised research track record including substantial record of research outputs in high quality outlets.Experience in research leadership with the ability to build and develop collaborative research teams, mentor academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes, attract and secure external research funding to sustain research effort and manage funded research projects including complex budgets and reporting requirements.Extensive experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates to maximise research performance.Demonstrated ability to manage academic program teams, supporting scholarly development of less experienced academic staff.Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a university.Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills including the ability to consult with senior executives, external bodies, produce executive reports, negotiate agreed directions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment.Mandatory Qualifications:PhD in relevant fieldPlease Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About the School of Health and Biomedical ScienceThe School of Health and Biomedical Sciences comprises three Academic areas:Clinical SciencesHealth SciencesMedical SciencesPrimarily based at the RMIT Bundoora campus, we undertake teaching and research across the disciplines of: Biomedical Science, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Radiations, Nursing, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Physiotherapy and Psychology.The Schools research was ranked as well above world standard in clinical science, complementary and alternative medicine, medical physiology, microbiology and pharmacology & pharmaceutical sciences, and above world standard in psychology, public health & health service and medical & health sciences.
