Business Service Manager ANZ (Distribution/Parcel - Automation)Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAs a Business Service Manager, you are responsible for all service activities for our customers around Australia and New Zealand. Your focus will be on customers such as Australia Post, DHL, FedEx and alike, supporting the Service Department as it grows.Creating business opportunities and business development is your second nature. Influencing decision-making processes (change management), building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers (both internally and at the customer level), and negotiating skills are essential in this respect. You will have a clear and well-founded perception of the future of your service area, how it relates to other areas (integration), and simply makes this happen. You will also be responsible for excelling our dedicated Vanderlande service team, the continuous development of the area, and further professionalisation of the local leadership teams.In this function, you will report to the Director of Lifecycle Services Airports and Distribution APAC.Your responsibilitiesManages the execution of service contracts with a high organizational complexity on operational and commercial levels; In conjunction with the Service Sales Engineer, prepares the proposal and reviews pricing calculations for SBS, SUS & RMR contracts.Develops and pursues profitable business leads to achieve further order intake and profit levels.Responsible for developing and executing a multiple years service plan for our services delivered to clients within the global service strategy.Responsible for site-based/field service teams within your client scope in alignment with ongoing service contracts. Including headcount, budget, and other activities within the HR Cycle.Maintaining SLA on site as per service contracts.Together with your sales colleagues, develop profitable executive management relationships with clients.Understanding the clients business, processes, and values, anticipate this, with the aim of delivering world-class services which will exceed the current operations in the customers value chain.Develops new ways of executing the local service way of working, supply chains, tooling, etc., to generate more business and profitable growth.Engages in the successful implementation of the global service strategy and is a mature sparring partner for the client.Acts as a business partner on the overall customer process level, generating both service and project leads by arranging regular meetings with customers and forming a partner relationship.Builds strong relations on the senior management level and manages customer satisfaction.Realises significant growth of service business year by year by maximizing the potential of up-selling to existing customers and realizing the maximum service scope (site-based and support contracts) at existing and new customers, based on added value and in a complex environment.Investigation of system improvement initiatives with customers and preparing feasibility proposals, including life cycle plans.Builds new service areas from green-field independently and autonomously develops the commercial/contractual/ organisational side of a regional service organisation. Initiates local service organisations and selection of local service providers.Writes marketing and sales plans, aligned with Business development management/area management, sets ambitious targets, and develops all necessary marketing activities autonomously.Masters the full sales process. From lead generation to defining and executing the winning sales strategy.Manages internal and external resources to present the best possible value propositions to the customer.Present improvement opportunities to our customers'' systems and prepare a feasibility proposal.Your profileYou have a Technical or Business Administration University degree;You have proven Management skillsYou have a proven track record and negotiation skills;Good sense of setting the right priorities in a demanding and dynamic environment;Preferably a background in automated handling systems, the capital goods industry, and/or system integration business;Develops and maintains relationships at the senior management level in the market and internally;Major contributor to service site development of processes, pricing, product development, and marketing;Convincingly exceeds own Service/ Business development-discipline, and by doing so, comes up with innovative changes in the positioning of Vanderlande in the market;You have excellent communication skills.Willing to travel 20-30% of your time.If you are interested in this position, please submit an updated resume and cover letter.
