As a Project Officer (Compliance and Programs) with NPWS, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks including:Developing and leading compliance activities to support visitor, recreation and conservation opportunities and protect natural and cultural heritage values.Coordinate field-based activities, undertake visitor and stakeholder liaison , promote visitor experiences and support the development and implementation of visitor education and awareness programs.Liaise with organisations including NSW Police, DPI and other land management agencies to co-ordinate compliance programs.Co-ordinate and supervise projects across the reserve systemAbout YouYou are a motivated and experienced professional with a background in compliance, or law enforcement, passionate about protecting natural and cultural heritage. You thrive working in the field and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal communities, and bring strong skills in law enforcement, coordination of compliance operations, problem solving, and communication. Youre confident in front line duties enforcing rules and regulations and communicating relevant legislation to a wide range of stakeholders, including the general public. You will also have skills in managing projects and overseeing compliance operations that contribute to the conservation goals of the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in law enforcement, compliance and regulation, and project management. Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment.
