Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Division: Surgery Endoscopy Anaesthesia ServicesProgram: SurgeryDepartment: Junior Medical Staff General SurgeryEnterprise Agreement: Doctors in Training (Victorian Public Health SectoJob Function: MedicalProject:2026 Endocrine & General Surgery FellowEmployment Type: Full-TimeSalary: Classification range HM25 to HM30About the role:Applications are invited for the role of the 2026 Endocrine & General Surgery Fellow, from suitably qualified senior surgical trainees who have obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent specialist qualification.The role of the Endocrine & General Surgery Fellow is to have a committed interest in Endocrine Surgery, either as a specialist in the field or to increase knowledge in the field for general surgical practice.The Fellow is expected to provide clinical management of Unit patients and referrals, including attendance at operating theatre sessions and outpatient clinics. It is also a requirement that the successful applicant will undertake administrative duties for the Unit under the supervision and direction of the Head of Unit or Consultant. The position is based at Footscray Hospital, and includes a strong focus on emergency surgery.About the Unit:There are six consultant surgeons in the General and Endocrine Surgical Unit, performing more than 100 endocrine surgery procedures each year, along with a variety of general surgical operations, including some breast surgery. Besides the Fellow, the Unit has an accredited surgical trainee, plus two interns.All applicants must ensure that you attach cover letter and CV at the time of submitting your on-line application.
