This role develops procedures and policies for the onboarding, compliance, performance management, and offboarding of vendors. The Director, Vendor Management also collaborates with internal teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement in vendor performance, quality, and operational efficiency.Job Responsibilities:Oversee the vendor management team processes, including onboarding, compliance tracking, performance documentation and ongoing process improvement.Develop, update, and maintain the Vendor Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and job aids to support efficient and compliant business operations.Evaluate and improve the Third Party Management System to streamline onboarding, risk assessments, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system gaps and implement enhancements.Stay current with legal and regulatory changes as it pertains to Vendor Management to ensure contracts remain compliant, collaborating with Legal and Compliance teams.Oversee vendor management audit readiness and respond to regulatory reviews related to third-party risk.Qualificationsand Skills:Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant job experience.4+ years of vendor management experience in a regulatory environment; experience in the mortgage industry, preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors.Project management skills to successfully managing multiple project schedules and deliverables.Self-motivation, time management, and problem-solving skills to work independently.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
