AboutNorth East LinkThe Spark Consortium has been selectedto deliverthe Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria''s biggest road project.The Spark Consortiums Design and Construction Contractor - which comprisesWebuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbournes freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.About the OpportunityWe are currently seeking skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in CRCP to join our dynamic TBM team on the Spark North East Link Project.Your primary responsibilities will include the coordination of on-site engineering functions including management of Site Engineers and Project Engineers and for the CRCP components of the project, with a multi-million dollar portfolio of work. You will be responsible for managing the CRCP sections of the project and a team to achieve time and budget objectives and provide efficient support for construction activities.This is a senior opportunity, and we are looking for passionate people to help manage a team of engineers and successfully deliver Melbournes largest project to date.This role will be accountable for:Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessaryAll coordination of 6.5km if dual carriageway CRCP works on the projectAssign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangementsLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction workCoordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achievedEnsure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget.
