Add expected salary to your profile for insightsWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Personal Injury Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and legal support staff, ensuring their continued professional development and the delivery of high-quality legal services. In addition, the successful candidate will manage a reduced but diverse caseload of personal injury matters, providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients and strategic direction to all lawyers within the team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the supervision, development, and performance management of junior lawyers, paralegals, and legal support staff.Deliver structured mentoring, coaching, and ongoing training to enhance legal skills and professional growth.Ensure quality assurance across files handled by junior team members, including regular file reviews and strategic input.Foster a supportive, collaborative, inclusive, and positive team environment aligned with firm values.Provide high-level legal oversight and strategic direction to all lawyers on complex personal injury matters.Manage a select caseload of personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation, and public liability claims.Providing high-level legal advice, representation and advocacy for clients.Prepare legal documents, court submissions and negotiate settlements effectively.Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear and regular communication throughout the legal process.Support the implementation of best practices, legal compliance, and risk management across the practice group.Stay abreast of legislative changes and developments in Personal Injury Law.Contribute to firm-wide initiatives including knowledge sharing, process improvement, and client care excellence.Skills and ExperienceAdmission as a solicitor in Queensland and a current practising certificate.Minimum 10 years of post-admission experience in personal injury law.Extensive experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers and support staff.Proven leadership and team-building skills with a focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing and always contributing to a positive work culture.Strong organisational and communication skills to manage both people and legal responsibilities effectively.Proven ability to manage complex personal injury cases from intake through to resolution.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Highly developed negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.A client-centric approach with a strong commitment to delivering positive outcomes.Adaptable to and embracing of the changing legal technological landscape.Why Join Us?Be part of a respected and values-driven law firm with a supportive, team-first culture.Play a leadership role in shaping the next generation of lawyers in a mentoring-focused environment.Enjoy the flexibility to balance supervision with meaningful legal practice.Competitive salary package with generous bonus opportunities.Strong emphasis on work-life balance.How to ApplyInterested candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter and resume outlining their qualifications and experience to kgullo@bglaw.com.auHow do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
