With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hours drive from the CBD, Melbournes North is fastbecoming the place to be!Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced General & Breast Surgeons to join the General Surgery team.About Northern Health:Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbournes rapidly growing outer north.Services are provided through our five main campuses:Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.About the Role:An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic General & Breast Surgeon to join the team at Northern Health for a fixed term period.The Surgeon will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members including allied health clinicians, nursing and medical staff to deliver high quality breast services as well as driving related research and innovation.The role is based at various Northern Health campuses and may encompass ward, theatre, Acute General Surgery emergency shifts and assist with specialist clinics.To be successful in this role you will have: Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent Appropriate specialty qualifications such as Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) or equivalent is essential Sub-specialty CSSANZ recognition (or at least TBCRS completion)Eligible for registration for Medicare provider number Current National Police and Working with Children History CheckNext Steps . .If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
