If you want to help shape the future of Frankston, now is the time to join our team!About the positionCouncils Operations Department are seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as a Golf and Turf Maintenance Officer. The position will be responsible for maintaining sporting reserves and assisting in the maintenance of turf at golf courses.The main responsibilities will include:Supporting the maintenance of Jubilee Park sporting reserves through application of turf management, horticulture and renovation practices and the utilisation of turf specific plant and equipment; andAssisting the Turf Management team to undertake turf maintenance tasks high profile sporting reserves and Centenary Park Golf Course.About youWe are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, but who can also take the initiative to work autonomously as needed from time to time. Additionally, you will bring to the role;Experience maintaining turf in sporting reserves (in particular turf wickets), parks, recreation areas or golf coursesAbility to use a variety of horticulture and turf management tools, plant and mechanical equipmentA current Victorian Driver LicenceExperience in the application of fertiliser, herbicide, fungicide and insecticide in addition to a Medium Rigid Truck Licence (manual transmission) and Front-End Loader / Tractor Licence will be well regarded.Benefits of working at Frankston City CouncilBe part of a workplace that is looking to transform the way that we work and build on our values Kinder, Fairer, Smarter.
