You will be given the chance to work with a multi-disciplinary team of tax professionals that have exceptional technical and industry knowledge. It''s a unique opportunity for those interested in navigating various aspects of indirect tax and developing a wide range of skills while working with clients on federal and state tax matters like goods and services tax (GST), luxury car tax, fuel tax credits, stamp duty and land tax.A strong candidate with skills in only one of either federal or state taxes will be considered.Key responsibilities will include:Provide advice & consultancy services across a range of indirect tax mattersAct as a primary point of contact for key clientsWorking collaboratively with the tax team and providing thought leadership and identifying client needs across the BDO businessMaintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and being able to identify opportunities to add valueDeveloping new client relationships and identifying opportunities to acquire new workAssist with training and development of the indirect tax team.About You6+ years experience in either GST or state taxesTertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or LawDemonstrated experience working in a Professional Services, Legal firm, state-based Revenue Office or the ATOExcellent client advisory and communication skillsDemonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to lead and mentor junior staff.Why BDO?Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
