Corrections Victoria''s mission is to create a safer, smarter system with a skilled and supported workforce, that enables people in our care to make better decisions.As part of the CJS group, the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) is a 694-bed maximum-security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Area.About The RoleSome of your duties will include:Contributing to the delivery of operational initiatives by working collaboratively with the Safety and Assurance Manager and key partners.Coordinating day to day safety support and action directed at process, systems and services to support Corrections Victoria to deliver a safe and healthy workplace for staff and to meet its responsibilities under health and safety laws.Participating in local incident reviews and investigations to support learning and continuous improvement aligned to the Safer Prisons Strategy and A Safer Place to Work'' methodology.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Subject matter expert in occupational health and safety management systems with demonstrated business partnering experience to meet operational demand.Proven experience managing a diverse stakeholder group to deliver consistent and quality safety service.Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in the application of OHS legislation, codes of practice and regulations.Qualifications/requirementsThe relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated extensive experience in safety are desirable.A full and current driver''s license is required due to the need to work across different locations.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
