Skilled at extracting actionable insights from complex datasets to support business decision-making and strategy. Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and key tools like TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Power BI, and Tableau. Experienced in building predictive models, natural language processing, and data wrangling across diverse domains such as finance, healthcare, and e-commerce. Adept at communicating technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Passionate about leveraging data to drive innovation and solve real-world problems.Key relationshipsData Engineering TeamEnterprise ArchitectureFinanceCommercial Vertical owners (GMs/EGMs) and product managersMarketing (social media, digital marketing)What you do:Data Analysis & Exploration:Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform strategic decision-making.Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and guide model development.Model Development & Evaluation:Design, build, and validate machine learning models for classification, regression, forecasting, and clustering tasks.Optimize model performance through hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation, and feature engineering.Document workflows, models and algorithms for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with business units, product managers, and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions.Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Additional ResponsibilitiesStay up to date with industry trends, emerging tools, technologies in data science, machine learning and analytics.Willing to try new ideas and emerging data science and AI technologies to solve business problems.What you need:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field25+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related roleStrong proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with R is a plusExperience with ML libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost, etc.) and data tools (Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter)Skilled in visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Tableau, or Power BIExperience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data tools (e.g., Spark, BigQuery)Solid understanding of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and model evaluation metricsKnowledge or experience working with AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or agent-based systems is a plus.Leadership CapabilitiesExecution ExcellenceDevelops clear business cases and/or requirements for initiatives/projects and has a disciplined focus on benefits realisation.Communicates clear and transparent KPIs with associated reporting and action plans to deliver effectively and sustainably.Develops improvements based on a clear understanding of customer needs and business requirements.Adequately assesses when to consult and/or bring in expertise to solve a problem.
