The Director of National Parks (the Director) is responsible for six national parks, the Australian National Botanic Gardens, 58 Australian Marine Parks, and the Heard Island and McDonald Islands Marine Reserve established under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Parks Australia is the federal park agency supporting the Director, and they are a division of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (the Department). We work to showcase these natural and cultural wonders to the world, demonstrating why these places are so special, and inspiring communities to become more invested in their care and future.The Property, Infrastructure and Physical Security Branch provides accommodation, security, and capital works for the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, and delivers infrastructure projects for Parks Australia, with a focus on modern and sustainable solutions. The property and security functions lead a strategic approach to emergency management, security, property acquisition, management, maintenance, and disposal to drive sustainable outcomes that contribute to long-term asset planning and governance, while ensuring safety and compliance.The Property Planning and Capital Works team manages the department''s accommodation utilization and executes capital works projects. The Hobart Property team supports the Property Services team in managing the Tasmanian property leases, facilities maintenance, emergency management, and contracts, providing expert advice on the Commonwealth Property Management Framework. The branch also designs and delivers infrastructure projects that provide economic benefits and enhance natural and cultural values in terrestrial national parks, working closely with Traditional Owners to deliver successful outcomes on behalf of the Director of National Parks. For more information, please visit our website.The jobKey duties include but are not limited to:Delivering property-related outcomes in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Interpreting legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks related to DCCEEW accommodation.Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to identify solutions for accommodation and property matters and developing plans to implement these solutions.Preparing statements of requirements, scopes of works, and supporting procurement processes for minor works projects.Supporting the delivery of property services under Whole of Government arrangements.Providing administrative support for accommodation planning and project management of minor and medium works in Tasmania.Resolving real property issues using expertise and identifying alternative courses of action.Producing briefs, reports, and other correspondence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
