Add expected salary to your profile for insights.We power schools and enable great teaching worldwide by creating intelligent online products and services to make the greatest difference in education.We are looking for a Head of Commercial Finance in Australia to take responsibility for reporting financial information and partnering with the Tes Australia Senior Management Team to provide insightful advice and analysis that supports business decision-making.In addition, you will support the financial aspects of a wide range of initiatives, including but not limited to business planning, budgeting and forecasting, product roadmap development, data quality, business practices and process improvements, global alignment, and acquisition integrations.How?Key stakeholder relationship with the Tes Australia Senior Management Team to provide insightful advice and analysis to support business decision making.Monthly P&L reporting.Monthly business driver/metric reporting.Present monthly results to stakeholders, explaining variances vs. budget and promoting insightful discussion on financial performance.Weekly sales reporting and forecasting.Lead on sales commission process - scheme design and rules, establish and maintain individual sales targets, commission payment administration.Support stakeholders through the business planning cycle to establish operational plans and budget input.Support product roadmap development and challenge prioritisation.Work closely with Data & Analytics team to improve accuracy and efficiency of accounting records, reporting, and analysis.Understand and challenge current business practices, identifying and implementing initiatives to improve processes and deliver efficiencies.Support Group-level initiatives and ad-hoc projects including global alignment and integrations related to recent acquisitions.Lead a small team of Commercial Analysts.Serve as key Finance contact and representative for Tes Australia, feeding into the Group Commercial Finance team.Provide support to the Group Commercial Finance team and wider Group Finance Leadership team.What are we looking for?Ability to think both analytically and strategically, going beyond the numbers to understand underlying business issues.Strong commercial awareness with robust numerical and analytical skills.Good understanding of accounting and financial control.Proactive, with initiative, anticipating issues and developing practical solutions collaboratively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Commitment and flexibility, reporting to a UK-based Manager.Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.Passionate about supporting the business, with drive and enthusiasm to use reporting for financial or operational improvements.Advanced Excel skills.Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE.Experience working with and analyzing large data sets.Experience with subscription products/businesses is preferable.Benefits of joining Tes:Flexible, hybrid working environment for work-life balance.Extra week of annual leave (26 days/year).Personal and professional development opportunities with learning allowances.Supportive team environment.Enhanced Paid Parental Leave.Retail/local shopping discounts program.This role is based in our Hawthorne office with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).If you are eager to impact education positively and believe you have the enthusiasm and skills, we invite you to join Tes.Application process: If progressed, our HR team will contact you for an initial phone call, followed by first and second-round interviews.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include questions about your experience with forecasting, your right to work in Australia, proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience as a Head of Commercial, accounting background, CPA qualification, and your expected annual salary.Please include any additional relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory.Research careers?
