Be supported by Coding Coordinators to inspire high performance and shape outcomes.This key senior leadership position is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the Classification and Coding Service.Full-time opportunity with part-time applicant considered. Hybrid working environment offered, based at Box Hill Hospital. Some movement between inner-east sites.Responsibilities include:Strategic focus:Assess current team structure and work collaboratively to devise a new structure that supports staff and the wider businessAssess risks and devise workforce plans to ensure continuity of serviceCoach, inspire and encourage Coding team members to excel in their rolesAssess and implement AI and other technologies to support the coding processFacilitate and support digital transformation including the use of the EMR to support codingManage change within the service whilst reducing adverse impact to service deliveryExpertise:Provide expert advice to EH staff regarding coding, AR-DRGs, National Funding Model for admitted activityEnsure EH complies with all internal and external rules and reporting requirementsMaintain professional relationships to ensure the Service is compliant and updated on latest initiativesAbout youTo be successful in this role you will possess:Tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or equivalentExperience in Coding and Casemix data collection and analysisStrategic thinker keen to embrace new technologiesDemonstrated experience managing change in a complex environmentAn open and collaborative approach to working with othersAbility to build a positive and supportive team cultureExperience in coding auditingExperience in coaching and mentoringPrevious experience in a tertiary hospital setting Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice) .
