We combine smart technology with the kind of human insight and care that our clients remember and are committed to making a difference for businesses to assist them to grow.The RoleWe are currently looking for a Senior Credit Manager to join the Credit Risk team, reporting to the Head of Credit and working collaboratively across the organisation. This role is close to the action, with regular contact with finance brokers, accountants and clients, reviewing client applications for finance. In this role, you will possess the skills to provide detailed credit assessment and deal structuring for loans up to $5m.You likely will have come from a Banking & Finance (or Professional Services background) and be eager to join a growing FinTech business thats really making a difference. You possess high quality cashflow lending & credit risk analysis skills (developed over at least a 10 yrs + timeframe), are willing to back your view and take pride in assisting Australian SMEs and helping them grow. The organisation is going through a period of growth and change, and you will be enthusiastic about joining Banjo on this exciting journey.Knowledge of the credit life cycle (application, structuring, portfolio management & collections) as well as operational risk & compliance would be beneficial and some experience in client relationship management from prior roles will also be highly valued.This role will also provide you with the opportunity to learn and have hands-on experience engaging with all areas of a FinTech business.About you Bachelors degree qualified with demonstrated record of high academic achievement is desired 5+ years experience in commercial credit assessment Previous experience in a credit role within financial or professional services is critical, with relationship management experience also being desirable Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, great work ethic & attention to detail Ability to work autonomously & form trusted relationships with fellow team members and clients A passion for learning Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where quality and speed are both essential Demonstrated experience with engaging with SME owners, accountants and brokersResponsibilitiesCredit Decisioning Assessing commercial finance proposals (both unsecured & secured, with cashflow lending skills being critical). This includes decisioning of complex commercial lending applications up to $5,000,000 in a timely and accurate manner Ensuring that credit decisions are made in line with Banjo credit policy and risk appetite The ability to work across a variety of Banjos lending products, and confidence to assess transactions independently with your own delegated lending authority Working collaboratively with the Business Development team to workshop transactions with customers, brokers and accountants Ensuring that the right balance is made between the quality of decision with time to decision for applications Strong competencies in communication with clients, brokers and fellow team members Assisting in the ongoing monitoring of the portfolio alongside CRO, Head of Credit and Senior risk team members Being comfortable with proactive calls with brokers, clients and accountants to assist with development of new business for Banjo Working closely with the Business Development & Product teams to provide client feedback and suggest areas of improvement in the overall customer experience.Working with the Head of Strategic Partnerships to service Banjos key clients Other At Banjo, at times you will be involved in projects and initiatives that are designed to improve the quality of Banjos decisions and improving the client experience The role will also play a key part in credit risk skills development and training with fellow team members This role is part of the credit risk leadership team, so previous leadership experience will be valued Work with Banjos Business Development and Marketing teams to support campaigns and other activities engaging finance brokers & accountants.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:What salary range are you seeking for this position?
