In this critical role, youll oversee regulatory compliance and support human resources functions across multiple member venues.Reporting to the General Manager, youll ensure adherence to Victorian gaming, liquor, and AML legislation, manage licensing obligations, conduct internal audits, and prepare reports for regulatory bodies. In parallel, youll work closely with our members and external HR providers to deliver end-to-end HR support including recruitment, policy development, employee relations, and compliance with Fair Work and award conditions.This is a highly interactive role requiring regular venue visits across Victoria, supported by a flexible hybrid working arrangement.About YouYoure someone who thrives in a multifaceted role, balancing both compliance and people support with confidence and care. Youre approachable, professional, and capable of handling sensitive matters with discretion.Key ResponsibilitiesGaming ComplianceEnsure member venues comply with Victorian gaming, liquor, and AML legislation (VGCCC and AUSTRAC)Manage operational and staff licensing obligations and documentationConduct internal compliance audits and develop corrective actions where necessaryPrepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies (e.g., incident reports, licensing updates)Deliver training to venue staff on gaming legislation, policy changes, and compliance expectationsAssess and mitigate compliance risks in partnership with internal teamsHuman ResourcesSupport recruitment and onboarding processes in line with industry standardsAdvise on employment law, NES, and interpretation of relevant modern awards (Clubs and Hospitality)Manage employee relations, grievances, and performance mattersDevelop and maintain HR policies and documentationMaintain confidential HR records and assist with compliance reportingFacilitate staff development and compliance training initiativesStrategic and Operational CollaborationLiaise with external HR partners to ensure efficient and lawful HR resolutionCollaborate with compliance, operations, and executive leadership teams to manage emerging risks and workforce needsContribute to strategic discussions on HR compliance and gaming operationsWhat Were Looking ForMinimum 3 years'' experience in a gaming compliance or HR role (hospitality or gaming sector preferred)Strong working knowledge of Victorian gaming legislation and licensing processesIn-depth understanding of Australian employment law, Fair Work Act, NES, and award interpretationExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) and stakeholder engagement capabilityProven experience managing audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reportingCurrent Victorian Drivers Licence and willingness to travel across regional and metro VictoriaTertiary qualification in HR, business, law, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Professional HR and/or gaming compliance certification is a bonusWhy Join Us?This is a meaningful opportunity to take ownership of a dual-discipline role thats central to our operations.
