The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, student-centred and holistic services that enhance learning outcomes and supports the diverse needs of the Chisholm community.The role is proactive in delivering a broad range of services across multiple channels, including Library and Learning Centres, provides research and academic support, copyright advice, study success programs and social connection activities and contributes to a dynamic and responsive learning environment, which aligns to the needs of the students and the Institutes strategic goals.Key responsibilities include:Provide dynamic leadership and direction to library staff to ensure that service delivery is efficient, effective and customer focused.Oversee Library services across all campuses including self-service, fully staffed and hybrid service-delivery models.Recruit and assist in the selection of Frontline and Academic Support staff, coordinating appropriate development activities to ensure that the staff have the necessary qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil their functional responsibilities;Embed considerations in the service model to support unique requirements of specific student cohorts e.g. HE, Apprentices, EAL students, VCE/VCM, Koorie Students, Students living with a disability.Implement peer-to-peer support and volunteer initiatives to improve learning experience, increaseconnection and provide students work experience, improving employability.Manage outreach programs- taking Library services to students.Lead and continually improve the online library environment, delivering a range of online services and collections that can be accessed online, anywhere, anytime by Chisholm Students;Facilitate and support learning by teaching information retrieval skills and reference skills to students and staff within classrooms or blended learning environmentsDesign and implement a marketing and communication plan to amplify awareness ofservices, supports and programs via targeted outreach, communication and on-campusactivitiesegpop-up events, showcases, resources launches etc.Undertake regular visits to all sites where library services are provided, to ensure the effective resolution of operational issues affecting the delivery of services;Liaise with key stakeholders such as employers, schools and other education providers to explore pathway options for learnersABOUT YOUYou are a highly motivated individual with-Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills, with a proven ability to inspire and guide a diverse team across multiple campuses.Skilled in fostering a cohesive, customer-focused environment, effectively managing front-line service delivery, and ensuring compliance.Experienced in overseeing the procurement and budget tracking of both physical and digital library resources.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing innovative process improvements to systems and processes within a customer service contextDemonstrated sound and effective interpersonal skills and high-level oral and written communication skills as required operating at this level and representing the Institute externally.Ability to travel between Chisholm sitesQualifications required for the role:A relevant tertiary library qualification.
