Our network of stores, primarily country community based, operate all over Australia and proudly operate independently.The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team. The National Pharmacy Business Manager will be a key contributor to the strategic growth and performance of the Melville Pharmacy Group and a pivotal resource for our pharmacy owners and operators. This role will be responsible for analytics, insights, project management and planning for performance in our growing portfolio of Australian Pharmacies.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the support and engagement of pharmacy owners to drive high performing pharmacies;The accurate and timely provision of information, data and insights concerning the performance of the business and its financial condition;Project Management to ensure successful implementation of key growth projects and initiatives;Work collaboratively with our service providers and partners to drive optimal performance and ensure key retail processes are managed and implemented;Provide regular reporting to the CEO and operations team on on the performance of the portfolio, and recommendations for growthLead the process of providing:base case projections of the underlying business for purpose of appraising the store valuebusiness planning and budgeting for storesremedial action plans for stores requiring supportSkills and ExperienceA post-secondary qualification in accounting or financial management is highly desirable3+ years experience in a senior operational or financial role in a multi-store retail organisationExperience in the valuation and acquisition of retail businesses, with a strong background in business planning and budgetingAn ability to translate strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills into insights, planning, action, and performanceExperience in how to measure success in a retail environment and the processes which contribute to that success.You are not afraid to challenge the status quo, and take yourself seriously, but not yourselfAble to travel interstate as requiredExperience in loan structuring for businesses where goodwill is a major asset is highly desirable, as is experience in retail pharmacyStrong relationship and people management skills, whilst maintaining and projecting a professional image to all key stakeholders.Have an understanding of the process of appraising and acquiring a retail businessWhy Us?We are passionate about independent community pharmacy and believe that our pharmacies sit at the heart of our communities and our success is their success.
