In this role you will produce high quality timber and metal work within commercial and domestic industries. Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to operating standards/instructions and in line with health and safety regulations, practices and legislation.Key Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesAssemble and adjust components where necessary using a variety of hand and power toolsOperate a range of different machinery to build door frames and doors i.e., Beam Saws, CNC Routers, Edge Banders, Brake Presses, Turrets, Laser Cutter etcFit components accurately as indicated in job work ordersRead and understand workshop drawingsFabrication of profile lengths using bending and cutting machineryIdentify material typesWork to KPI''s and hourly targetsConduct quality control checks on own workEnter required labour hours and material consumptionMaintenanceRecord/report details of defective goodsEquipment maintenance as scheduledComplete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area daily or when required.Key Position CriteriaTradesperson or equivalentWelding Experience an advantageWork within tolerance; ensure quality in the productMaintaining production levels as requiredSound numeracy, written and verbal communication skillsComply with standards and procedures of Spence Doors following WHS guidelines and wear personal protective equipmentAbility and willingness to follow direction as well as the ability to work independentlyMust be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and squareComplete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specificationAbility to operate sheet metal machinery and welding equipmentReport all defective parts and materials to Production LeaderQuality, Compliance and OH&SComply with all processes, policies and procedures.Abide by the standards and values set out by ASSA ABLOYs Code of Conduct.Take reasonable care for their own health and safety, along with the health and safety of their colleagues, within the workplace.Not place at risk the health or safety of any person at the workplaceWe are the ASSA ABLOY GroupOur people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
