The MCG is more than just a stadium, it''s an Australian icon and a meeting place for generations past, present and future.The MCG is host to more than 70 major events and attracts over four million visitors annually. The MCC is the largest sporting club in the country with over 150,000 members and also manages 13 sporting sections with participation over 2,600. The Australian Sports Museum (ASM) has its home at the MCG, celebrating the country''s rich sporting history, which is also managed by the MCC.The Finance and Business Performance department is responsible for administering the finances of the Club''s entities, including reporting, financial performance management, investment, compliance, financial integrity and debt management. The department is also responsible for major project management, legal, payroll, business intelligence, strategic and business planning, risk management, internal auditing, contract management, legislative compliance, tendering and procurement.We are seeking an accounting degree qualified individual to join our Finance & Business Performance team. Reporting to the Executive Manager - Finance, you will work in a highly visible finance function providing professional assistance to the department in performing varied financial and management accounting tasks in relation to MCC as Ground Manager and other MCC related entities.A key component of this role is providing accounting support to the department. The role will also assist in the areas of reconciliation, reporting, process improvement, financial analysis, statutory reporting and departmental account management. This opportunity will assist the successful candidate in developing a wide range of accounting and business skills, whilst enjoying training tailored to your needs.To be successful in this role, you will be accounting degree qualified and able to demonstrate:Strong analytical and Excel skills (at intermediate level).Confident communicator with the ability to engage with various stakeholders and staff.Strong attention to detail, be proactive, and have demonstrated the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.Energetic and driven team player, you will be looking to develop your commercial acumen and add value to the department and organisation.For a more detailed description of the role please refer to the position description link on this page.If this interests you and you have the experience, qualification and the skillset outlined above, we would love to hear from you.
