Senior Software Engineers may take on Subject Matter Expert responsibilities, and act as a team leader for more junior engineers.Can we kindly request only candidates with unrestricted working rights in Australia apply.The key responsibilities of the role include Work on Epics relating to the current product releaseWork closely with your Development Manager in resolving high priority tickets and critical production issues with efficiency and perseverance.Participate in and host daily stand-ups to effectively convey your value added to the product and future ideasOrganize planning sessions using JIRA to create user stories to complete the epicCreate an architecture (or utilise the existing product) to achieve the acceptance criteria from Product ManagersDiscuss, negotiate and agree to project requirements with your Product Manager and Development Manager for each projectCreate Automated System-level Tests on epic completion for maximum product coverageOrganize backlog grooming and sprint retrospectives with the team to increase velocity every sprintMentor and advise other team members on possible implementations and potential issues arising ie Transfers of Information (TOIs)Working with support on existing products to ensure better customer satisfaction and a better quality productDevelop unit tests following Test Driven Development (TDD) principlesSupport the development of team members by coaching and mentoringAct as a key contact point for internal stakeholdersProvide security solutions based on risk assessment.Provide the best technology security practices for the company.Ensuring that requirements in IT Audit, Standard, Policy, Compliance and Risk controls are met.The job requirements and qualifications required for the role include Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Perl, Batch, Shell, PythonExperience with front-end libraries such as React is a plusBuilding solutions knowledge: CMake, Cake, Microsoft Visual Studio, EclipseWorking with various Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux (CentOS/RHEL), NonStop (Tandem), UnixExperience working with Version Control Systems such as GitHands-on experience in designing and maintaining Cloud solutions in AWS (preferred), GCP and/or AzureWhile experience in the above areas will be highly considered, its important to note they will be secondary to the person with the right determination, attitude and IRs compatibility.
