As the Specialist AOD Family Violence Advisor, youll lead efforts to build the capacity of the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector to identify and respond to family violence with confidence, compassion, and consistency.Your role, your impactYoull work closely with AOD clinicians, team leaders, and partners across the sector to promote safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice in line with the MARAM Framework. Youll:Provide secondary consultations and support to AOD teamsDesign and deliver training, reflective practice, and education sessionsPromote systems integration and collaboration between AOD and family violence servicesBuild staff confidence in identifying and responding to riskApply your knowledge of the Family Violence and Child Information Sharing SchemesImprove referral pathways and service navigation for victim-survivorsAdvocate for accountability and safe practice when working with people who use violenceWho Were Looking ForYoure a driven and compassionate professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a deep understanding of the intersections between AOD and family violence.
