Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for preparing and serving culturally diverse, nutritious meals contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in the centres.Job DescriptionJoin us on the journeyWe currently have a role available for a Head Chef to join the Spotless team. Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for preparing and serving culturally diverse, nutritious meals contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in the centres.What Youll DoThe role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:Menu design and procurement of goodsAllergen and dietary responsibilityDay to day management of chefs and front of house teamsAssemble, prepare, and produce food requirements as directed by the Catering Manager. This includes food safety, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, managing stock control, and adhering to all kitchen policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with the HACCP Food Safety Plan, monitoring food safety standards and practices, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas, and completing all Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely.Monitor and enforce food storage standards, ensuring proper handling and rotation of stock using First In, First Out (FIFO) principles, and maintaining appropriate holding temperatures for perishable items.Ensure compliance with our Standards of Business Conduct and contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement.What Youll BringCertificate III in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor CertificateKnowledge of menu and nutritional standardsFull understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelinesExemplary cooking skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skillsMore than anything, youll have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a drive to provide high quality outcomes for Spotless and our client.Why work for us?BenefitsWorking for us means every day you will be enabling our communities to thrive.
