We are currently looking for a like-minded, self-motivated, individual to join our rapidly growing team through an exciting period of growth and be part of our success story as we scale the business.Does this sound like you?Were looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee our liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) operations.As the Laboratory Manager, you will manage the daily operations, maintenance and quality control of all equipment including our liquid chromatography (HPLC) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) platforms, including managing a small team. You will collaborate closely with R&D and production teams, which is essential for integrating research and production efforts smoothly.To be effective in this role, you will have a thorough understanding of HPLC and LC-MS technologies, along with strong organisational and leadership skills to guide a team of technicians in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the efficient operation of all equipment including HPLC and LC-MS platforms across Production and R&D divisions. Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to optimise productivityOversee the maintenance schedules for all equipment at IonOpticks. Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate with vendors and third-party service engineers for preventive maintenance and repairsMaintain accurate records of instrument performance and maintenance using our ISO9001 quality management systemFollow established protocols for the onboarding of new equipment in accordance with the Quality Management SystemManage the facility in accordance with established Quality Management Systems guidelines and processesEnsure the quality and reliability of data produced by the laboratory. Support the production of QC reports for product release and ensure that reports are completed on timeManage and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and foster a supportive and collaborative team environmentHands-on involvement in all laboratory duties, including but not limited to equipment maintenance, calibration and validationImplement and maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirementsProvide training and monitor training records for laboratory equipment standard operating proceduresManage the laboratory inventory and budget, including procurement of instruments and consumables, and oversee vendor contracts and negotiationsCollaborate with R&D teams to develop new quality control processes and applications for HPLC and LC-MS.
