Our CI Team work and consult on a variety of different projects, including completing onsite inspection of heavy machinery, design reviews of mining & ports machinery and engineering design for heavy industry and maritime partners.As a Graduate Engineer, you''ll play a pivotal role in supporting engineering projects, utilising your knowledge and expertise to create innovative solutions that influence the infrastructure and energy sectors across the Asia-Pacific region.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will:Under supervision from more senior employees, undertake professional technical tasks of varied scope and complexity.Operate within practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies and/or standards.Acquire training that broadens experience to become qualified for more senior responsibilities.Conduct Testing, Measurement and Stress analysis of machines, machine components and machine structures, using various techniques including Space Gass, Finite element modelling, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Discrete Element Modelling (DEM).Contribute to onsite inspections of mining equipment or ports related heavy machinery.Have the opportunity to travel to client site for short periods of time.About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have:Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant area of studyUnrestricted working rights in AustraliaA passion for delivering high quality solutions to customers.Previous exposure to rolling stock, mining equipment, conveyers, crushers or ports equipment is desirable.Strong analytical, investigative and design skills.Previous working or volunteer experience in the mining, maritime or heavy industry is desirable.Ability to work as part of a team.Why Work with Us?At BMT, we value flexibility, career growth, and an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives thrive.We offer remote, hybrid, and part-time work options, with offices across Australia.
