As the Child Counsellor you will provide professional counselling service including assessments, counselling and group work for children who have been exposed to or are victims of family and domestic violence as well as their nonviolent primary care giver.This role is a part time (22.5 hours a week on Monday and Thursday - 8.30am - 4.30pm, and Wednesday 10am - 6pm), permanent opportunity.Skills and Experiences:What You Will BringTo be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:Bachelor''s degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or related disciplineCounselling experience in working with children in a therapeutic setting utilising person centred, strength based and trauma informed approachesGroup work experience with children and/or adultsSkills in engaging clients from Aboriginal and other diverse cultural backgroundsExceptional interpersonal and rapport building skillsThe successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and hold a WA Drivers Licence.BenefitsSharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact to the lives of families and communities across the state.In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.Also:-$99,451 annual salary (pro- rata) plus super12% superannuationIn addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount.Flexible, family friendly working conditionsClinical practice supervision and professional development opportunitiesWhy join us?At Anglicare WA we are all about people, placing people at the heart of our work.
